WELCOME TO THE STUDIO!
Dr. Scott Campbell has performed as a soloist in France, Germany, Australia and throughout the United States. His performances have been lauded by composers such as Frank Ticheli and David DeBoor Canfield. As a freelance musician based out of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, he has appeared with various ensembles, most notably the Dallas Pops Orchestra, Plano Symphony, Odysseus Chamber Orchestra and the Allen Philharmonic. He has performed in venues such as the AT&T performing Arts Center, the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts, the Richardson Civic Center, and the Baton Rouge River Center. Along with numerous solo recitals, Dr. Campbell has given world-premiere performances at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biannual conference.
Currently, Dr. Campbell serves as Adjunct Professor of Music at Southwestern Adventist University and Mountain View College. In addition to his university duties, he maintains a large studio of over 90 private students who reside within the DFW area. His students regularly achieve positions in All-State, All-Region, and All-District bands. They receive first division awards for their solo and ensemble contests and commonly receive Outstanding Soloist awards. Students have won positions into youth programs such as Honor Band of America, Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Wind Symphony and Jazz Ensemble, membership in the Metro Praise Youth Jazz Orchestra, and have gone on to be accepted to music programs at Eastman School of Music, Northwestern University, Peabody Conservatory, the New School, University of North Texas, Berklee College of Music, Texas Christian University, Southern Methodist University, Baylor, Texas Tech, the University of Texas at Arlington, and Interlochen Arts Academy.
Dr. Campbell received his doctorate degree in saxophone performance from the University of North Texas. While there he served as Teaching Fellow of saxophone for over three years and taught a large studio of jazz, performance, music education, and composition students
In addition to performing and teaching, Dr. Campbell has been featured as an interviewee in The Instrumentalist, Southwestern Musician, The Wave, and is a Vandoren and Conn-Selmer artist.

Collin Miller was accepted into the jazz program at the University of North Texas. For those not aware, UNT is the #1 and most prestigious jazz program in America. Great job Collin! I think he had a scholarship to go along with this.
Rayna DeYoung was accepted in to the saxophone and music programs at Harding University and Stephen F. Austin University with professor of saxophone Dr. Nathan Nabb. She has decided to attend Harding University with a nice scholarship to boot!
Jeffrey Meyer earned a $6k a year scholarship as a music minor at the University of Tulsa. Nice scholarship as a music minor!
Nick DeWalt has been accepted in the prestigious Interlochen Preparatory High School of the Performing Arts with scholarship! Great job!
Additionally, I am proud to teach everyone in the studio. You are all great students and progressing so much. A special congrats to the many, many students who earned a 1 (and beyond) on the solo contests during spring term!
